MW3 – Offering More Party Chat Options

MW3 – Offering More Party Chat Options

I’m sure we’ve all got annoyed on MW2 where we’ve been in a party with friends, go to play a game and suddenly get that devastating message “You must switch to game chat”.

Now, I at least, never join game chats, we all know how it is.. multiple 10 year olds screaming down their mic every single time they get killed. So that always left me and my party sticking to the same game modes which, to put it lightly, was a shame.

So, i think we’ll all be happy to hear this from Robert Bowling:

“The only place where Party Chat should be blocked is Search & Destroy..”

Limiting Search & Destroy to game-chat is understandable. There’s nothing worse than a group of friends telling each other where the enemy is after they have died. It just ruins the whole game so this is definately a good move from Activision.

And in regards to other modes:

“it’s about giving options. We will have places where competitive guys go where you might have restrictive voice chat. And then you have an option to maybe play that same mode without the same restrictions if that’s the type of player you are.”

So there you go. For those of you who want to casually enjoy MW3 with your friends, you have been catered for. But also, if you want to take part in competitive games, there is also an option for you. I think Activision have made a good job of satisfying everyone’s needs there.
