MW3 Hardened Edition – What You’ll Get
03/09/2011 – The Hardened Edition has just become available at Amazon for $99!
A leaked advertisement has revealed the contents that the Hardened Edition of Call of Duty MW3 will come with.
The Hardened Edition will come with a much higher price tag (yet to be confirmed), but will pack in some extra incentives including unique disc art, a literally “hardened” steel case and a field journal consisting of 100 pages of sketches, concept art, notes and diagrams.
On top of that, you will get a whole year of premium membership for the all-new Call of Duty Elite service. This means you will also get all future map packs without having to spend a penny.
The photograph below seems to be an advertisement for the European version of MW3 Hardened Edition, but if the other Call of Duty’s are anything to go by, then the US version will be exactly the same.

can you download the map packs on 5 other ps3 systems for free when you download with the elite membership or do you have to pay as i have 3 ps3 systems

We’re not sure yet as Activision haven’t made it that clear. We would guess that you can only download the map packs on 1 console – but don’t take our word for that as we’re not certain.
if you download it on one account you can jsut sign on to that account on the other systems and go into your recent downloads and downlaod the map pack on the the systems

If I start my one year membership as soon as MW3 comes out will I get every single map pack for MW3? I was wondering if any map packs would come out after my membership ends?
We would of thought so yes considering when the years membership finished, the next Call of Duty will probably be coming out. The past Call of Dutys have never continued to bring out DLC a year after releasing.
What is monthly Dlc? Will they release a Dlc everymonth? or will it be like past cod where only 2 or 3 map packs are released. Also survival is based on multiplayer maps so do people with hardened edition get maps which the regular game doesn’t have? Thanks
At release, all the maps will be the same for normal and hardened users.
We’re not sure how often they will release DLC, maybe they will let us know closer to release.
As i read over the add there is a ps3 exclusive theme but as a 360 cod player will there be any free exclusive themes for us, ps wat are the other collector editions or is hardened the only option?
Xbox users will get exclusive avatars with the Hardened Edition. And it’s the only collector edition confirmed so far.
Can you activate the cod:elite membership at any time?
for a limited time only get it know if u want map packs every month and other great stuff only 50 dollars but once the game is out u probably cant get elite so like i said get it now

If you buy the premium subscription after a dlc came out, do you get it or is it only for the future dlc packs? (anything released before you purchase the premium subscription has to be bought seperately)???

There is a clan section / system being included in the Call of Duty Elite service.
do u get the custom camo if u her the hardened edition or if u get COD Elite?
You get it if you buy the hardened edition, because you will be the first ones to receive a full year of elite.

If you get the Hardened Edition, you’ll get them all for free.
I’m a bit confused, if you have the elite edition, is that hardened? and also, with elite edition, do you still get all the mappacks?
You normally have to pay extra for the Elite premium but if you get the hardened edition you’ll get it for free.
And yes, premium elite will give you all future map packs for free.
There is no such thing as Elite edition.

No, any map packs you’ve downloaded you’ll be able to keep playing.

Your best bet is to check out your local game / gamestop shop.
gamestop has None maybe amazone or you will have to fight it out at wal mart since they dont do pre orders.
tell you what activision are idiots cancelling the hardened edition because i just payed for it and a day later there somehow out of stock and i had to get my money back instead

I think I’m not the only one. I waited 2 days after I picked up MW3 to download the elite premium, only to find that the code is either invalid or incorrectly inputted. After many attempts and clarifications, I’m beginning to believe that something is up with the $50 code I purchased. Does anyone know whats going on?
