Call of Duty XP 2011
Haven’t we got some good news for the hardcore Call of Duty fans out there. Activision have just announced the Call of Duty XP event running at Los Angeles on the 2nd & 3rd of September this year.
This epic weekend will give you the opportunity to play MW3 two months early as well as a paintball fight on a life-size recreation of Scrapyard (from MW2), the chance to win money and other prizes from a million dollar tournament and even the Pit from MW2 will be there for you to have a go at.
Grab your share of 1 Million Dollars:
Compete for your chance to walk away with your share of a million dollars in cash and prizes. The tournament will consist of 32 teams, each with 4 players in a single-elimination bracket competition. You will be able to qualify for this by proving your skill on Black OPs multiplayer (more details will be stated in the future).
For the more casual fans out there, there will also be competitions catered towards all skill levels where you can win prizes playing free-for-all, Zombies, Spec-Ops and team-based games.
Beat the Pit and relive the Scrapyard:
Remember the Pit from Modern Warfare 2. Well it’s back.. this time in real size. Get through it as quickly as you can to win prizes and bragging rights. Not only that, but the Scrapyard is also back in a life-size recreation of the popular MW2 map. See how well you know it in huge paintball fights.
Call of Duty Armory:
You’ve perfected your skills with them in game. Now you can check them out in real life as the Call of Duty weaponry will be on show along with a unique look at the history of the game.

Tickets will go on sale Tuesday July 19th for $150 (with 100% of the ticket sales going to Call of Duty’s non-profit organization, Endowment which helps veterans find new careers as they come back to civilian life). You must be over 18 to attend. Find out more details at Call of Duty.
