Call of Duty Elite Beta Has Begun
I dont know if you remember my post showing where you could sign up for CoD Elite beta which is being tested on Black OPs, but it seems it has now begun.
A very small amount of invites have just been sent out this week for CoD Black Ops’ players to begin testing the new Elite service. Dont worry if you haven’t been invited (I haven’t either) as this is only the first wave of invites. It is said that more invites will be continuously sent out over the next few weeks (probably to keep a steady stream of new users going in).
However, it has also been said that the beta will only be going out to Xbox 360, so if you are playing from a PS3 or PC then we’re afraid you will have to wait until the 8th November when MW3 gets released.
MW3 Elite Summary
You can find out a full description of the new Elite service that is supposedly going to completely change how we play and interact with Call of Duty here. But for those of you who want a quick summary of the features they will be implemented.. here you go:
- Access Call of Duty Elite through various devices including the web, Android and iOS smartphones and tablets.
- Communicate with your friends via the web, your console and your mobile.
- Track thousands of statistics with your friends such as k/d ratio, score per minute, win %, streaks and much more – all presented in charts and info-graphics making them easy to understand.
- Make your own customized leaderboards to compete against your friends.
- View advanced heat maps displaying your match-by-match performance showing where and when you got killed.
- Analyze your performance with each specific weapon to help work out what weapon to use in every situation.
- Upload and share videos of all of your greatest kills with Elite’s theater mode.
- Customize your loadouts with your favorite weapons, attachments and perks.
- Find players with common interests or play-style to compete against.
- Make your own clans.
- Use Facebook to bring your friends directly to your game.
- Start tracking your complete Call of Duty Career – starting with Black Ops.

Still no news about dedicated servers If they don’t add some this Elite service will just be a huge let down you already get most of this stuff on the games !!!!! Nothing special here
